Pawan Hans Limited, India's premier Central Public Sector Enterprise and the largest Helicopter Company under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, offers a unique scheme for converting CPL (A) holders to CPL (H). This initiative is designed to recruit young and dynamic professionals and assist them in transitioning their careers to helicopter pilots.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Current and valid CPL (A) issued by DGCA, India. Must have passed 10+2 in Science with Physics, Mathematics, and English or its equivalent with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).

• Medical Fitness: Class-I medical fitness required. Assessment report from DGCA to be submitted. Revalidation needed if Class I medical has lapsed.

Training and Induction

• Duration: 3-6 months training program to complete CPL (H) syllabus as per The Aircraft Rules 1937, Schedule II Section K.

• Type Training: After obtaining CPL (H), candidates undergo type conversion training on PHL's helicopters. Upon successful type endorsement, candidates will be inducted as Associate Helicopter Pilot Level-I.

Financial Aspects

• Training Cost: Estimated at Rs. 40.00 to 45.00 Lakhs for CPL (H) training and Rs. 25.00 to 50.00 Lakhs for type training. Costs are self-funded.

• Financial Assistance: PHL finances 50% of the type training cost up to a maximum of Rs. 20.00 Lakhs as a loan at an interest rate of base rate plus 2% per annum.

• Reimbursements: PHL provides reimbursements for Aviation Accident Insurance premium during training.
